Volunteering

If you would like to get involved in our work, study our website, get to know our history, programmes and publications.

If you can identify with our aims and you like our activities, join our work as a volunteer: write to our volunteer coordinator, Melinda Fehér, at onkentes@labrisz.hu and join the Facebook groupof volunteers, where we continually share the current volunteering opportunities.

As a volunteer, you can collect and/or translate news items for our website, you can help us at the LIFT Festival and/or during the annual LGBT History Month to invent or organise programmes, sell tickets, translate, or you can even organise your own programme! You can also join our education programme “Without Taboos”, where we conduct trainings for students, teachers, parents, local governments, universities and businesses.

If you would like to meet and talk to other women, come to a Labrisz Evening, a Queen of Spades game night, or any of our community programmes, which you can follow on our Labrisz-estre, a Pikk Dáma játékklubba vagy bármely közös programunkra, melyeket a Facebook and Instagram pages.

If you would like to talk to members of the organisation or you have questions about lesbianism, write to us at info@labrisz.hu .

You can become a full or associate member of Labrisz if you would like to do something actively for the community, would like to help our current work, or would like to realise your own community ideas in an organised form. Please, let us know your interest in membership at our programmes or in e-mail. You don’t automatically become a member, this is preceded by an about 6-month period, during which you can get involved in the daily activities of the organisation, get to know Labrisz and its members better, take part in our monthly meetings and take up tasks. If at the end of this period you feel you can identify with the principles of the organisation, you have found your place in the association, you like working actively for the lesbian community, and the existing members also would like to work with you, you can officially become a Labrisz member at the next general assembly.
