Discussion and film screening

There is too little attention devoted to Ukrainian refugees of sexual minorities in the mainstream media. What special challenges do LGBTQI refugees encounter while moving from one LGBTQI-unfriendly country to another? How do LGBTQI organizations try to help them? We discuss these questions with Viktória Radványi from Budapest Pride and Leila Lohman from EL*C. After the discussion we introduce European Lesbian* Conference #3, which is going to take place in Budapest this autumn and will feature escaping from war and queer feminist resistance as main hemes. We will watch the documentary "Women* What we are fighting for" about Ukrainian, German, Russian, Kazakh, Dutch, Brazilian, Moldovan and Croat activists fighting for women's and LGBTQI people's rights and share our thoughts about the current situation of lesbian* feminist activism.
