Join us for a special evening where we will screen Lukas Dhont's film Girl (2018) (with Hungarian subtitles) and then we will have an inspiring discussion to explore the questions raised by the film!
Girl tells the story of a 15-year-old trans girl, Lara, who dreams of becoming a ballet dancer. The film sensitively explores the complex issues of gender identity and body image, while showing Lara's struggles with societal expectations and her own inner journey.
This event is part of the project "Democracy starts with your body -- Building bridges between the queer and feminist movements in Hungary", implemented by Háttér Society, Nőkért Association Labrisz Lesbian Association with the support of the IPPF. The project aims to create space for dialogue on gender identity, social expectations and inclusion, while supporting the common goals of queer and feminist movements.
