WRITTEN ON THE SOUL (2004)

This film explores gender identity in Ireland.  It focuses on two main questions: what is gender identity and where is it located in the individual (is it in the heart, is it in the body, is it in the soul?). Three Irish based transgender people, Lucy/Richard, Diane and Stephen, answer these questions from the position of their own gender journey experiences. Carol O Keeffe, an independent documentary filmmaker from Cork, will be present to answer questions following the screening.
